Controls

Mouse only. Click a unit to see its current abilities. Select your action by clicking a convert or martyr symbol, or click a blue highlighted empty tile to move there. Click the unit again to cancel.

Rules

Players get one action (move, convert, or martyr) per turn.
Each unit can only interact with its neighbors in cardinal directions. Rank 0 units do not belong to either side and can only be recruited. Rank 1 units can spend 2 separate turns to convert Rank 0 units into Rank 1 recruits. Rank 1 units can martyr themselves to convert an enemy Rank 0 or Rank 1 unit into Rank 1 recruits. Rank 1 units can martyr themselves to demote an enemy Rank 2 unit to an enemy Rank 1 unit. Rank 2 units can spend 1 turn to convert Rank 0 units into Rank 1 recruits. Rank 2 units can spend 2 separate turns to convert an allied Rank 1 unit into a Rank 2 unit. Rank 2 units can martyr themselves to convert an enemy Rank 2 unit into a Rank 1 recruit. Rank 2 units can martyr themselves to convert an enemy Rank 1 unit into a Rank 2 recruit.
Once a unit is partially converted, either cult may complete the conversion to claim the recruit.
